Guide to the 71st Annual Louisiana Peach Festival

The Louisiana Peach Festival returns on June 5 in Downtown Ruston! Come enjoy a family-friendly celebration of Ruston's local talent and delicious peaches. Browse the guide below and make plans to attend a day full of kids activities, local art, great food, and 10+ hours of live music.

Admission

All festival activities are free to attend from 9 am-3 pm. 
Admission from 3 pm-11 pm: 
$10 for adults (12+)
$5 for kids (4 and under are free all day)


Festival Day Activities

Peach Art Market 
9 am - 3 pm
Discover art, handmade items, and homemade goods from local artists, artisans, and makers.
Location: Sexton Lot across from Railroad Park

Kids Alley: An Art Experience
9 am - 3 pm
Kids of all ages can enjoy hands-on art activities including peachy crafts, calligraphy, photography, art demonstrations, and more!
Location: Esma’s Alley, 112 E Park Ave.

Peach Art Exhibit
9 am - 3 pm

The North Central Louisiana Arts Council will again host its popular Peach Art Exhibit during the festival. The exhibit features drawings, paintings, photography, 3-D art, and mixed media from artists of all ages.
Location: Historic Fire Station, 200 E. Mississippi Ave.

Ruston Farmers Market
9 am- 3 pm
Shop, eat and support local producers and creators at the Ruston Farmers Market. Seasonal fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs, honey, jams, salsa, and other locally produced goods are available on site.
Location: Ruston Farmers Market, 220 E Mississippi Ave 

Queen Dixie Gem Peach and Princess Peach Pageant
6 pm
Come watch as this year’s potential queens and princesses compete for the title of Queen Dixie Gem Peach and Princess Peach.
Location- Cedar Creek School, 2400 Cedar Creek Dr.

Saturday Music Lineup

The Louisiana Peach Festival has no shortage of live entertainment for the day! Come out and enjoy genres ranging from country to jazz to pop and covers. There are even some live demonstrations on the schedule! All events take place on the Railroad Park stage.

9 a.m.- Jade Reynolds
10 a.m.- Lady Chops
11 a.m.- Josh Love
12 p.m.- Victoria Wells
1 p.m.- Chemistry in Action by Dr. Bill Deese & Mr. Danny Eddy
2 p.m.- Zach O’ Neil
4 p.m.- The Cypress Knees
5:30 p.m.- Tipsey the Band
7:30 p.m.- LVVRS
9:30 p.m.- The Hollow Decks

Festival Extras

May 31-June 4: Peach Hunt
Find a mystery card hidden in Ruston and you’ll have the key to win $500! Clues will be released every day at 10:00 am on the Louisiana Peach Festival Facebook, Ruston radio stations, and the Ruston Daily Leader. Winner must take a selfie at the location of the Peach Prize to prove authenticity. Happy peach hunting! 

May 30-June 5: Peach Restaurant Week
Stop by participating restaurants to enjoy specialty peach menu items! View participating restaurants and menu items here

June 3-5: Peachy Sidewalk Sale
Stop by participating local downtown stores for some peachy prices! 
Location: Downtown Ruston

June 4: Kids Fishing Tournament
Time: 8 am- 9:30 pm
Youngsters go for the big catch in the Kids Fishing Tournament! Open to ages 12 and under. Bring your own fishing pole; bait and refreshments will be provided. No entry fee or pre-registration is required. Participants must be accompanied by a parent or other adult.
Location: Lincoln parish park, 211 Parish Park Rd

June 11-12: 32nd Annual Peach Rodeo
The Peach Rodeo will again be hosted at the Northeast Louisiana Exhibition Center. Come out and watch talented individuals in this year’s rodeo. Admission is $10, $5 children, ages 3 and under free
Location- North Louisiana Exhibition Center, 165 Fairgrounds Rd

Must-Know Info

Food- Local vendors from the Ark-La-Tex will be in Railroad Park all day with drinks, eats, and treats. And of course, there will be peachy items on every menu!

Merchandise – 2021 Peach Festival t-shirts, posters, and stickers will be available for purchase the week of the festival at the Ruston Lincoln Visitors Center.  During the festival, all 2021 merchandise can be purchased at the merchandise table stationed in the center of West Park Ave.

Parking Downtown- Free parking is available throughout downtown Ruston and will be marked with signage.
