Guide to the 72nd Annual Louisiana Peach Festival

The Louisiana Peach Festival returns to Downtown Ruston on June 4! Come enjoy a family-friendly celebration of Louisiana’s homegrown flavors, music, art, and of course Ruston’s delicious peaches. Take a look at the guide below and make plans to attend a day full of kids activities, local art, flavorful food, and 10+ hours of live music!

Admission

All festival activities are FREE to attend from 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Admission from 5:00pm - 11:00pm:
$10 for adults (12+)
$5 for kids  (4 and under are free all day)

Festival Activites 

Peach Parade brought to you by Quota of Ruston

June 4  | 9 AM

Bring the whole family out to this festival favorite! Peachy floats will roll through Downtown Ruston starting at 9 AM. Grab a spot on the route and catch candy and goodies from floats that will be decorated in a “Throwback to Our Roots” theme. If you’re interested in entering a float, you can view the guidelines & application here
Location: Downtown Ruston, Starting at W. Alabama at Tech Drive, turning right on Trenton St, and ending at California Ave. 

Peach Art Market

9:00am - 5:00pm

Discover art, handmade items, and homemade goods from local artists, artisans, and makers.
Location: Sexton Lot across from Railroad Park


Kids Alley: An Art Experience

9:00am - 5:00pm

Kids of all ages can enjoy hands-on art activities and crafts on East Park Ave., along with interactive performances and demonstrations on the Kids Alley stage in Esma’s Alley.

Ruston Farmers Market

June 4 | 9 AM-1 PM

Shop, eat and support local producers and creators at the Ruston Farmers Market. Seasonal fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs, honey, jams, salsa, and other locally produced goods are available on site from 9:00am-3:00pm.

Queen Dixie Gem Peach and Princess Peach Pageant 

June 4 

Queen Dixie Gem Peach will be open to any girl living in and attending school in Lincoln Parish who has completed 9th, 10th or 11th grade. They will compete in interview, outfit of choice, and evening gown. If you have any questions call or email Suzy Nations at (318) 278-0863 or email queendixiegempeach@gmail.com.

Peach Art Exhibit

May 26 - June 23

The North Central Louisiana Arts Council will again host its popular Peach Art Exhibit during the festival. The exhibit features drawings, paintings, photography, 3-D art, and mixed media from artists of all ages. 
Location: Lincoln Parish Library, 910 N Trenton St.

Peach Hunt 

May 30 - June 3

Find a mystery card hidden in Ruston and you’ll have the key to win $500!  Clues will be released every day at 10:00am on the Louisiana Peach Festival Facebook, Ruston radio stations, and the Ruston Daily Leader. Winner must take a selfie at the location of the Peach Prize to prove authenticity. Happy peach hunting!  

Peach Restaurant Roundup

May 30 - June 4

Get your appetite ready for all things peachy during the Peach Restaurant Roundup! You can expect peach-inspired drinks, eats, and treats at participating Ruston restaurants. 

Peachy Sidewalk Sale

June 2 - June 4

Enjoy three days of specials and discounts at participating downtown shops during the Peachy Sidewalk Sale! 

 

Annual Peach Rodeo

June 3-4

Patrons will enjoy all standard rodeo events including bull riding, bronc riding, barrel racing, and roping. Calf scramble for local children and family entertainment for all. For more information call Merrill O’Neal at (318) 255-9377. 
Location: North Louisiana Expo Center, 165 Fairgrounds Rd.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Must-Know Info

Food- Local vendors from the region will be in Railroad Park all day with drinks, eats, and treats. And of course, there will be peachy items on every menu! Most vendors accept cards, but it's never a bad idea to have cash on hand!

Merchandise – 2022 Peach Festival t-shirts, posters, and stickers will be available for purchase two weeks before the festival at the Ruston Lincoln Visitors Center.  During the festival, all 2022 merchandise can be purchased at the merchandise table stationed in the center of West Park Ave.

Parking Downtown- Free parking is available throughout downtown Ruston and will be marked with signage.
