The holiday season has officially started in Lincoln Parish, which means people are busy finishing their Christmas lists! One of the ways holiday shoppers can be community-conscious this year is by buying local. When people shop small, it invests their dollars back into the community and supports our local community members.

Holiday Open House
November 17 | 5 PM - 8 PM

Downtown Ruston

On this special night, you'll find refreshments, special promotions, and extended hours from participating stores. Ruston’s walkable downtown makes Christmas shopping painless and fun – and you’re sure to find the perfect gift in one of our charming little stores!

Small Business Saturday
November 26 | All Day

Lincoln Parish

The Saturday after Thanksgiving has been declared Shop Small Saturday since 2010. This day gives shoppers the opportunity to be community-minded and shop in their local communities. Find a few businesses this holiday season to support on this day and invest back into your city/ town this year!

Hometown Holiday
November 26 | 10 AM - 5 PM
Downtown Ruston & Railroad Park

NCLAC is also incorporating their holiday market event into the Ruston Art Encounter “Christmas Stroll” to celebrate the start of the holiday season. Celebrate a true Hometown Holiday with Ruston Maker's Market and shopping specials all throughout Downtown Ruston.

Holiday Sip N’ Stroll
December 7 | 5 PM - 8 PM

Downtown Ruston

Knock off those last few items on your Christmas list in beautiful Downtown Ruston. Sip and shop your way through downtown, where stores will be offering holiday specials and extended hours!

Ruston Farmers Market
Every Saturday | 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Ruston Farmers Market, 220 E Mississippi Ave, Ruston

Shop, eat and support local producers and creators at the Ruston Farmers Market. Choose from a wide selection of seasonal fruits and vegetables, meat, eggs, honey, jams, salsa, and other locally produced goods! You can also shop for natural skin care products, soaps, woodworks, and more, all hand-crafted by local artists and makers.

Big Creek Trade Days
November 25 & 26; December 9-11 | 9 AM - 5 PM

Big Creek Trade Days Grounds, 327 California Plant Rd, Dubach

Big Creek Trade Days are held monthly on the weekend before the second Monday with over 100 indoor and outdoor vendors, food trucks, and fun for all ages!

Handicap accessible with scooter rentals available on-site. Admission is only $5 per vehicle for an entire weekend so load up the family and head on out! Visit Big Creek Trade Days on Facebook for more information!

She is a wife and mom of 3 kids (including a pair of cuddly identical twin boys) with a lovable dog, and a cat that tolerates her. As Director of Marketing and Communictions, Emily supports the President/CEO of Experience Ruston in implementing new marketing plans and and content strategies to help promote Ruston/Lincoln Parish as a premier tourist destination.
