Best Coffee Shops In Ruston

July 8, 2019Written by: Joanna Calhoun

One of the countless things Ruston prides itself in is its amazing coffee shops. In this post, we wanted to highlight our ultimate favorites. Whether you need a cup of coffee, a scrumptious treat, or a spot to work, all these stunning spaces have you covered. Each one of these coffee shops is so unique and has its own personality. If you haven’t gotten to know all of these locations, you’re definitely missing out:

The Depot Coffee House

Located near Downtown Ruston by the railroad tracks, The Depot provides a wide range of budget-friendly drinks and treats and rotates through fun seasonal flavors throughout the year. One of their biggest seasonal hits is their drink the Zebra; this mixture of white and dark chocolate is to die for! This coffee house offers all kinds of space with a comfy and cozy feel and is widely known for its friendly and smiling staff. Also, for all the music lovers they regularly host Open Mic Nights to feature Ruston’s local talent!

Parish Press Coffee

Even a tornado can’t stop Parish Press from thriving! Due to recent damage to their original location, Parish Press is currently located inside Utility Brewing Co. at 206 North Vienna Street. They are now open from 7am-11am Tuesday through Saturday and from 7am-6pm Sunday and Monday. Their menu includes delicious items such as specialty coffees, teas, breakfast sandwiches, and a fully stocked pastry display. In a couple months after renovations are complete, Parish Press and their famous beignets will be returning to their revamped original home on North Trenton Street.

Railway Coffee

Railway Coffee is a third-wave coffee shop which features two locations. The spatial bohemian location sits in the heart of downtown Ruston. The more contemporary location, The Nest, is on the northside and provides a drive-through option. Railway Coffee proudly serves its own locally roasted coffee and is also distinguished for its selection of imported specialty coffees. Some other popular drinks include their Nitro Cold Brew and Chai Lattes. In addition to drinks, Railway offers many freshly baked goods; the owner’s personal favorites include the ham & cheese croissants, blueberry muffins, and bacon & cheddar scones! They also provide healthier options such as gluten-free breakfast sandwiches and acai bowls.
