“Not only was the 2019 Dixie World Series an incredible opportunity for Ruston to showcase our new facility, it made a huge economic impact for North Louisiana,” says City of Ruston Mayor Ronny Walker. “Our community welcomed thousands of people for the World Series, volunteered at the complex, and hosted teams while they were in town. The Dixie World Series was a win-win for Ruston and North Louisiana.”

The event was also seen as a great opportunity to highlight the Ruston community to visitors from all over the south. Teams, families, and fans were complimentary of the people of Ruston and expressed gratitude for the hospitality they were shown from locals and businesses.
