This summer heat means it’s time to find a sweet cold treat! Here are some of our favorite go-to places to get just what you need to cool off and enjoy the taste of Ruston!

Ice cream

Ice cream is a classic way to cool off in the summer! Mitcham Farms offers peach ice cream, a community favorite this time of year. We encourage you to explore this local favorite for a fun summer outing. Eskamoe's is another favorite that has many options to choose from. Whether you’re wanting a concrete, ice cream sundae, or a waffle cone, they have it all! Peach City Rolled Ice Cream is one of the newer additions to Ruston’s sweet treat list, and we love it already! Stop by for delicious rolled ice cream cups, or one of their amazing milkshakes!

Snowcones

This summer heat might make you feel like you’re melting, but an icy snow cone is sure to cool you down! The Shack and Heavenly Sno-Balls are two of the places in Ruston to indulge in this satisfying summer treat. It is the ideal afternoon outing to go on with friends and family to curb your sweet tooth. Enjoy the fresh air and a sweet snowy treat sitting outside on the picnic tables, or take it to eat at a local park!

Boba tea is definitely trending and we have some pretty refreshing places to enjoy this popping sensation! Fantasy Boba is one of the newest spots to find this cool drink right on Tech Dr. You can also head to Peach City for some tea from Boba Fresh! Grab a friend and head to these spots for some fruity goodness this summer!

Cold coffee

Iced and frozen coffee is one of the best ways to stay cool and caffeinated this summer! Ruston has many coffee shops that offer their own unique coffee drinks and summer menus. Head to Black Rifle for their amazing new summer blended drinks! They have everything from the classic Salted Caramel Latte to the NEW Frozen Wildberry Lemonade. Common Goods is another stop for your coffee needs. Check out their summer drinks like the Chantilly Cake Cold Brew or Blueberry Pancake Latte! PJ's Coffee is another favorite coffee shop that offers a variety of cold drinks for you to enjoy this summer. Try out their newest flavor, Southern Wedding Cake Sweet Cold Brew and Foam!
