Northeast Louisiana Music Trail Landmark Sign Unveiling Set for July 18 in Downtown Ruston
Experience Ruston is excited to announce the unveiling of a Northeast Louisiana Music Trail landmark sign in downtown Ruston, Louisiana, honoring the musicians and music venues that have shaped Lincoln Parish’s vibrant cultural landscape.
The unveiling ceremony will take place on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 5:30 PM at the corner of E. Park Avenue and N. Vienna Street in downtown Ruston. The event is free and open to the public, rain or shine, with attendees encouraged to arrive early.
Special live music performances will add to the celebration, featuring D.K. Harrell and Monty Russell & Friends before and after the unveiling at the nearby Sundown Tavern located at 111 E. Park Ave.
“The NELA Music Trail is thrilled to unveil our 25th marker in Ruston, Louisiana,” said Enoch Doyle Jeter, Director of the Northeast Louisiana Music Trail. “This marker honors musicians and music venues, both past and present, in Lincoln Parish. It recognizes the rich and diverse musical heritage in the region. Cheers to the wonderful supporters who made this event possible.”
Amanda Carrier, President & CEO of Experience Ruston, also shared her enthusiasm for the new marker and its place in Ruston’s thriving cultural scene.
