Amanda Q. Carrier Named CVB President & CEO

Carrier will succeed Travis Napper, who announced his resignation in late February to accept the job of Director of Arkansas Tourism. Napper will assume his new role on April 1.

“On behalf of the CVB’s Board of Directors, we are excited that Amanda has agreed to be our President and CEO," said CVB Board Chairman Andy Durrett of Durrett Law & Title. “The CVB has never been in a stronger position due largely to the efforts of Travis. Amanda’s vision and skillset will lead the CVB into its next phase of growth and opportunity. The CVB will continue to enhance existing local tourism opportunities and support the creation of new opportunities for the residents of Ruston/Lincoln Parish.”

Carrier is no stranger to the travel industry or to Ruston’s growing tourism economy as she has severed as the CVB Marketing Director since September 2013. Her official start date will be March 21. Carrier will be the first female President/CEO of the organization.

“Amanda has been a dedicated and valuable part of our team for over five years,” says Napper. “During that time, she has learned the ins and outs of the tourism industry in Lincoln Parish as well as made the necessary contacts across the state and region to continue to bring success to our community. I expect many more great things out of the CVB and our community with her leadership.”

Carrier is a native of Winnsboro, LA and graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She’s married to Justin Carrier and has lived in Ruston for the past six years.
